Abstract
279,660. Beale, G. E. C., and Dunnett, W. H., (trading as Carter & Co., J.)., and Thomas, H. O. Dec. 2, 1926. Contents, facilitating access to.-A box for containing and displaying packets of seeds &c. has an internal tray c hinged at the front d to the front of the box and connected to the hinged lid b by links c<1> each of which is pivoted at one end to the lid at c<2> and at the other to a block c<3> slidably mounted in guide tracks c<4> on the ends of the tray; when the lid is opened and held in the vertical position by stays b<2>, the tray is moved to and held in the inclined position shown. The tray has the form of a rhomb in end view and is formed with pockets or compartments c' by partitions arranged parallel to the front and back and end walls, the bottoms, of the compartments being arranged so that they take a horizontal position when the lid is fully opened. A hinged shelf e may be provided on the lid and the end connections of the links c<1> may be reversed.
