Ventilating conduits and passages, arrangements of.-The air space 5 of the hollow wall of a building is ventilated and dried by connecting its lower end with an interior conduit 10 having its outlet at a point higher than the inlet 6 at the top of the wall. The connection may be made by means of passages such as 8 in the lower surface of the flooring or by means of the cellar. In addition to the ventilated air space 5, the hollow wall comprises an inner dead-air space 4.
