Abstract

214,815. Jackson, J. T., Jackson, S., and Jackson, H. H. Sept. 12, 1923. Scarifiers.-Relates to scarifiers for attachment to road rollers in which a tine-holder b is pivotally mounted on a transverse pin b<2> in the usual side frame a, and consists in providing a transverse pin b<9> against which the tine-holder bears when in action, the pin b<9> being situated above and to the rear of the pin b<2>. The pin b<9> is adjustable in eccentric bearings to alter the angle at which the tines b<1> work. The tineholder is rocked into and out of action by a bellcrank lever b<7> pivoted to a bracket b<12> at the rear of the frame a, and connected by a link b<4> with the rear of the tine-holder. The pin b<2> may be adjusted in a similar manner to the pin b' to effect vertical adjustment of the tine holder.
