Crank - shafts; balance gearing. - A crank-shaft combined with differential gearing as described in Specification 156,341 is mounted so that relative motion between transmission sprockets 28, 29 and their supports 24, 25 takes place only when there is differential motion. Sleeves 24, 25 extending from the end crank webs 12, 15 are long and form bearings for the end differential shafts 10, 11, which pass through them. Bushes 30, 31 may be placed between the shafts and the sleeves. The sleeves are in turn supported in long bearings constituted by portions 26, 27 of the gear easing.
