Abstract

Machinery frames.-The framework of weaving looms and other textile machines is so arranged as to allow for complete tooling by machine tools of the various facings. The web A of the framework, which may be formed with external ribs B and internal ribs H, is cast with facings C for the bearing-bushes I for the various shafts, and extends inwards at the parts D - - G to form facings for the various crosspieces. The facings on the parts D - - G are all in one plane and the facings C are all in another plane, parallel to the first. The bushes I, which are all similar, are externally machined and are mounted in openings J bored correspondingly and provided with gaps K somewhat larger than the diameter of the shafts. By means of bolts, flaps N on the bushes are held against the seatings C. The bushes 0 for the cloth beam are eccentrically bored so that the position of the beam can be adjusted by rotating the bushes in the openings J, the flaps of the bushes being slotted. The external ribs B may be omitted. The bushes and the seatings may have conical or cylindrical surfaces, and may be provided with pockets or recesses. The seatings may be of less width than the framework. The web may have flanges on one or both sides.'
