[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Shearing; angular bending.-A detachable framing for a guillotine shearing-machine or a bending-machine comprises transverse members 1, 2, 2a, bolted to side frames 4. The transverse members have lugs or flanges 5 welded to them at appropriate positions and are bored and machined to take the bolts. The apron 8 is bolted through lugs attached to the side and transverse members. The bearings for the main shaft are attached to the side frames and carry the journals which are welded during erection to a centre shaft section. Specification 629,453 is referred to.
