Thermionic keying systems and apparatus.-In order to prevent commutator ripple or similar disturbances from affecting the radiated energy, where the high-tension supply to a valve transmitter is derived from a dynamo, the sending key is connected to one or more condensers in such a way that the condenser is being charged from the supply circuit during the space-intervals, and is discharged into the load or aerial circuit when the key is depressed for a dot or dash. The condensers may be so connected that they are charged in series and discharged in parallel, and lamps ignited and extinguished at definite voltages are used for connecting the aerial to a receiving circuit during the non-sending intervals.
