Bearings and distances, indicating ; directive signalling. - The method of making observations based on the creation of an interference field between a primary aerial and a second or re-radiating aerial or conductor, as described in the parent Specification, is modified by feeding the second aerial with modulating current fed over a line, the arrangement being such as to create secondary waves of the same frequency as the primary waves but having a definite phaserelation to each other under any given set of conditions. Preferably the two aerials are supplied by line from the same modulating source, with or without the interposition of phase-changing devices.
