Abstract

494,541. Directive wireless systems. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. Nov. 26, 1937, No. 32726. Convention date, Nov. 26, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] A directional aerial system comprises more than two spaced aerials, pairs of aerials being interconnected in opposition to one another so as to provide more than two differential systems, and a goniometer having the same number of field windings as there are differential systems, whereby a more uniform goniometer field of increased strength is obtained. The Figure shows such a system suitable for installation on aeroplanes comprising three vertical aerials I, II, III interconnected differentially by the transformers 1, 2, 3, each differential system feeding a field coil of the goniometer 4. The system may be used for transmission or reception.
