[Class 40 (v)] The parent Specification relates to a transmitting arrangement for course determination comprising a continuously energized dipole aerial associated with reflecting dipoles which are alternately keyed to obtain two sets of complementary signals in different directions to define a course on which both are received at equal signal strength. In the present invention this transmitting arrangement B is elevated above the ground so that lines of constant signal strength 1 ... 5 slope down to an aerodrome F and an aircraft flying on the equi-signal strength course above defined can follow a line of constant signal strength to the landing ground. An additional signal from a vertically directed transmitter 9 or from another horizontal beacon indicates when the landing is to be commenced.
