213,094. Illidge, A., Illidge, A. E., and Ellidge, C. A., (trading as Illidge & Sons, A.). March 3, 1923. Stays.-The pin C over which the holes in a casement stay A are adapted to engage is fixed to the sill by means of a plate D and has rotatably mounted on it an L-shaped frame E bent up from sheet metal and having an aperture through which the stay passes. A loose joint at B allows of the stay being raised, and the aperture in the frame is of such height that when raised the stay is clear of the pin in all positions. The pin C passes freely through the horizontal portion of the frame E, which rotates between a collar c on the pin and a washer e. Two L-shaped frames may be used, each rotatable on the pin, the aperture in the inner one extending higher than that in theouter one to allow for the slant of the stay; or a. U-shaped frame may be employed.
