Abstract

212,784. Thornton, H. G. S. May 11, 1923. Saws.-A frame or holder for saw blades, of the kind consisting of a single length of spring wire or metal rod adapted to hold the blade in tension in a plane parallel with the handle of the frame, comprises a rod a bent into bow form and, at its ends a<1>, a<2>, bent at right angles to the plane of the bow. The end a<2> has a double fold a<3>, so that the handle lies in line with the blade, and carries a wooden handle c, or the frame may itself be bent to form a handle. The blade is threaded on to the rod a, the bends being notched to retain the blade in position.
