212,352. Goldsmith, W. N. Jan. 8, 1923. Corner strengthening-pieces; fittings, external; handles.-A hand-bag, portmanteau, trunk, or like article is mounted upon projecting wheels, balls, or rollers, preferably india-rubber covered, carried in casings secured to the underside of the article, two such rollers A, Fig. 1, being applied under one end of the bag and a single swivelling roller C or ball-bearing at the other end. A metal corner casing formed with spindles for the the rollers &c., as shown in Fig. 5, may be provided, secured in position by an outer corner piece E riveted or otherwise secured to the material of the bag &c. A supplementary handle G, Fig. 1, carried by a swivelling rod H is provided to enable the bag to be moved about on the rollers, and it may be telescopically adjustable as shown.
