Abstract
211,492. Galli, V. Feb. 14, 1924. Thermal switches for cutting out a principal lamp are operated by heat generated in a non- laminated core 1 of a transformer supplying subsidiary lamps. The switch comprises a bimetallic ring 15 which is fixed at one end 16 and at the other is connected to a. lever 17 normally contacting with a contact 20. The principal lamp is in circuit with the ring 15, so that, when the latter expands sufficiently to break the contact at 20 the lamp is extinguished. The contact 20 is carried by a rotatable insulating disc, which can be adjusted by a projection so as to regulate the time interval before the principal lamp is extinguished.
