Abstract
A dyestuff dyeing cotton in fast bordeaux shades from a yellow vat is prepared by condensing 2 : 1-thionaphthisatin-a -(41-dimethylamino)-anil with oxythionaphthene; an example of the process is given. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 1 (3) (a) p refers also to the use of other a -anils and of the a -halides of 2 : 1-thionaphthisatin. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
