Spring wheels.- Discs 17, 17<a> are connected by bolts 18 and spaced apart by a steel casing 19 formed with a convex central part 24 which rests on a pneumatic cushion 25. The cushion 25 fitted with an inner tube, is held between metal flanges 31 on the hub 11 by beaded rings 26 and flat rings 26<a>. Ball bearings 40 are interposed between the inner hub flanges and the outer discs and a felt washer 35 excludes dust. The outer disc 17 screws to a sprocket wheel 14 which is chain-driven. In a modification for use on heavy vehicles the parts are made stronger and the discs and hub flanges are in contact, without the intervention of ball bearings. In a further modification the driving power is transmitted to the rim section from the axle, a pin on the hub flanges fitting a radial slot in the outer discs.
