Abstract
209,279. Hall, Ltd., J. & E., and Farmer, J. D. Dec. 18, 1922. Ice-making, can or mould systems for; agitating water to be frozen for.-Paddles, rods or like agitators C reciprocated through the water to be frozen in the moulds A<3> are mounted in their supports B so as to be free to rise vertically as the ice forms, to prevent them from being frozen in, and the frame A carrying the set of paddles is given a slight vertical movement in its horizontal reciprocation, as by means of curved recesses a in the frame engaging rollers a<2> in brackets a<3> on the edges of the freezing-tank, or by suspending the frame A by short links from brackets at the sides of the tank. The supports B for the paddles may comprise epaced plates b, b<2>. Figs. 1 and 2, with guides d<2> and eccentric rollers E yieldingly engaging the paddles under the action of weights f or springs.
