Abstract

161,362. Boys, F. J. Jan. 28, 1920. Stationary batch-mixers with oscillating stirrers.-Apparatus for agitating and mixing lime and water in tannery pits and keeping the lime in suspension comprises two hinged blades D carried by an oscillating frame A and joined together by connecting-rods F which keep the blades at the required angles during the oscillation of the frame, the blade D on the right being in position to throw up the liquid while the other blade moves freely through the liquid. The blades D have hinge-pieces L turning on bolts G connecting bent angle-irons H secured by angleirons K to the frame A and provided with stays J at their lower ends. The frame A is oscillated on a pin B by connecting-rods C and eccentrics E.
