Lighting, systems of. - In a method of illuminating interiors in which a translucent panel A is provided in the roof or in a wall so as to enable the room to be illuminated by external artificial light sources B, a number of parallel reflecting- surfaces C are disposed behind and perpendicular to the panel so as to diffuse the light into the room without the artificial sources being visible from within the room. According to the Provisional Specification, the surfaces C may be of a translucent character and a second glass ceiling may be provided below these diffusing surfaces.
