Abstract
208,031. Marks, E. C. R., (Schmidt- 'sche Heissdampf Ges.). Jan. 9, 1923. Lids and covers.- In a steam or water drum of a water tube boiler and the like, and particularly those without longitudinal seams, the shell of the drum is inwardly flanged at each end, and end plates are secured against the inner faces of the flanges. The flange B, Figs. 1 and 6, is faced at c to provide a seating for the end plate D which is provided with a manhole E. The end plate is secured by bolts F which may either pass through a ring G or through the flange B. In Fig. 6 the end plate D is dished. One of the spaces enclosed by the flanges B has an oval or enlongated form through which is passed the end plate D. Specification 170,580 is referred to.
