Bayonet-joint fastenings; fastenings operated by tools.- A device for locking electric-lamp bulbs in their holders comprises a ring adapted to be clamped around the lamp cap by means of a screw 6 and having projections 5 that provide a space between the ring and the cap to receive the holder socket, and a spring- controlled pivoted catch 11 is mounted in a housing on the ring, and is adapted to lock with one of the bayonet slots of the holder. To release the lamp bulb, the pivot pin 13 of the catch is turned by a key. The key may comprise a member 14, slotted at 32 to engage the pin and provided with a pivoted handle 15 normally retained in the position shown by a spring 17. Alterna. tively, a pulley 23, Fig. 9, may be keyed on the pin 13 and connected to a sheathed cable 20 terminating in a screw 26, which is engaged by a key 27 in the form of a screw-nut to release the catch 11.
