Hulling, husking, and decorticating.-Coffee cherries are fed from a hopper d by means of a drum e provided with rings of projections, and a corrugated shoot f, between rollers a, b, formed with coacting ribs and depressions h, g. The slimy matter is scraped from the ribs by scrapers i, the coffee beans falling into the depressions from which they can be removed by other scrapers if necessary. The form of the rollers may be modified.
