Abstract
The seat-locking anti-theft device is fitted to the base of the seat anchorage on the drivers side. When the driver leaves the vehicle, he tilts the seat forward and the device automatically locks the seat in the tilted position, thereby preventing access to the steering wheel, foot pedals and the starting mechanism. This action does not require the use of a key, a key different from the keys for the doors and boot, being used to release the device. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
The seetlock
The installation of this simple seat locking device to all vehicles will totally prevent the theft or taking and driving away of any vehicle to which it is fitted. The minimum inconvenience is caused to the driver of the vehicle and it can be fitted to all vehicles throughout the world both left and right hand drive.
The locking device or 'Seetlock' is fitted to the base of the seat anchorage on the drivers side. When the driver leaves the vehicle, he or she merely tilts the seat forward and with the 'Seetlock' being fitted, the device automaticaliy locks the seat in the tilted position, thereby totally preventing all access to the steering wheel, foot pedals and the starting mechanisms. The action does NOT require the use of a key.
Upon returning to the vehicle, the drive would use a separate key from those issued with the car to the doors, boot and bonnet, to release the 'Seetlock' locking device. The device could be fitted to all vehicles irrespective of size, make, design or foreign manufacture. A second 'Seetlock' can be fitted to the passenger seat if required. From enquiries I have made no British orforeign car or commercial vehicle manufacturer produces a vehicle with a bench type seat.
