Abstract

The device when in place around the steering wheel 11 prevents the wheel from being turned, the device is hinged at one end 12 and locked at the other end 11. The device is curved around the steering wheel, having rollers inside the curve, so that when in place around the steering wheel and locked in position, the device can be turned freely, without turning the steering wheel. <IMAGE>

Description

DEVICE TO MAKE MOTOR VEHICLES SECURE THIS DEVICE IS MADE OF ANY MATERIAL STRONG ENOUGH TO DO ITS JOB.
THE DEVICE CLOSES AROUND THE STEERING WHEEL, AND IS THEN IN LOCKED POSITION. WHEN IN LOCKED POSITION, STEERING WHEEL CANNOT BE TURNED. FITTED INSIDE THE DEVICE ARE SMALL ROLLERS ON SPRINGS WHICH ALLOW THE DEVICE TO FIT DIFFERENT SIZES OF STEERING WHEEL.
THE NAME FOR THE DEVICE IS ANKERMATE.

FIGURE 2 SHOWS THE DEVICE IN PLACE AROUND THE STEERING FROM THE BACK.
FIGURE 3 SHOWS THE DEVICE IN OPEN POSITION AROUND THE STEERING.
FIGURE 4 SHOWS CUT AWAY OF THE INSIDE OF THE DEVICE SHOWING HOW ROLLERS WILL WORK ON SPRINGS. UP TO EIGHT OF THESE ROLLERS WILL BE FITTED INSIDE THE DEVICE.
AS SHOWN IN FIG. 1AND FIG. 2 THE DEVICE IS FITTED AROUND THE STEERING WHEEL IN LOCKED POSITION 10 THE LOCK 11 THE STEERING WHEEL 12 THE HINGE IN FIG. 3 THE DEVICE IS ROUND THE STEERING WHEEL IN OPEN POSITION.
IN FIG. 4 I SHOW ONE OF THE ROLLERS INSIDE THE DEVICE. THE ROLLERS INSIDE THE DEVICE, WILL BE FITTED ON SPRINGS AND WILL MOVE UP AND DOWN INSIDE THE DEVICE, SO THE DEVICE CAN BE FITTED TO DIFFERENT SIZE STEERING WHEELS. THE ROLLERS ARE ALSO VERY IMPORTANT IN MAKING THE DEVICE WORK. AS THE DEVICE WHEN FITTED AND LOCKED AROUND STEERING WHEEL, WILL TURN FREELY, WITHOUT TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL.
THE DEVICE IS TO PROTECT YOUR VEHICLE FROM BEING STOLEN AT A SMALL COST.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A COVER WHICH FITS AROUND THE STEERING WHEEL WHICH WHEN LOCKED CANNOT BE TURNED.
  2. 2 THIS DEVICE CAN BE SEEN FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR AND ACTS AS A DETERRENT TO ANY THIEF FROM STEALING YOUR VEHICLE.
  3. 3. ROLLERS FITTED INSIDE THE DEVICE WILL PRESS ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE STEERING WHEEL TO BE TURNED WHEN THE DEVICE IS IN PLACE.
