Railway locomotives, steam.-In a locomotive comprising two vehicles coupled together at a fixed turning- point, the frame of the trailing vehicle is carried by two interlocked bogies 12, 13, the latter pivoting about an axis 22 located behind the rear wheel 19. The bogie 12 turns about an axis 21 located between the wheels 14 or at the turning-point 2 between the two vehicles. The turning-point 23 between the bogies 12, 13 and the points 21, 22 are so located that the maximum sway a at the centre is substantially equal to the maximum sway b at the rear of the vehicle. The bogies may be connected to the vehicle frame by coupling-arms or the like. The wheels 14 have reduced flanges and the wheels 16 no flanges, while the wheels 15, 18 are movable axially, the wheels 17, 19 being normal. In the example shown, the front vehicle has bogie wheels 10, 11 and coupled wheels 6, 7, 8, while the drive is taken to the coupled wheels 14 - - 17 of the bogie 12.
