In a safety razor having a reciprocating blade-holder, the supporting- member A fixed to the handle B has a longitudinal groove C formed therein, the sides E, E<1> of the groove guiding the lower clamping-member or slide D of the blade-holder during its reciprocation, and positive means being provided between the parts A, D to prevent relative movement in a direction at right-angles to their contacting surfaces. In the form shown, the member A has slots G, G<1> accommodating the shanks of screws F, F<1> screwing into the slide D, but the grooves in the supporting-member A may be of dovetail form and the screws F, F<1> dispensed with. An eccentric stud J mounted on the driving-shaft K passes through a hole in the part A and engages a transverse slot on the slide D. The blade is clamped on the slide D which carries a guard by a curved upper clamping-member M and nut O screwing on to a bolt P projecting from the slide.
