The base-plate a, Fig. 1, of a safety razor has a screw-bolt g engaging in a handle d and pins e, f adapted to protrude through holes i and slots j, Fig. 3, in a plate b having laterallyinclined teeth h. The blade c is very narrow, and it is clamped between the parts a, b with its rear edge abutting against the pins f and its ends covered by wide teeth k on the plate b. The blade is held inclined with respect to the plane of the plate a, and it may have its edge ground chisel fashion.
