Abstract

203,540. Garnett, N. Sept. 22, 1922. Screw sockets. - A means of attachment of connecting screws to mattress rails and bedstead side rails comprises an integral head 3 and a reduced neck 4 on the screw and a hole in the material of the mattress frame or side rail of such dimensions as to allow the screw to rotate loosely therein but prevent the unreduced part 5 of the screw from passing therethrough. The hole may be square, oblong, or circular, having one dimension equal to the diameter of the reduced neck, and is opened, as shown in Fig. 7, to allow the passage of the screw 5, pressure then being applied to return the hole to its oxiginal shape and size.
