Abstract

201,635. Clift, H. May 3, 1922. Joints and connections. -A bedstead or like connection, of the type in which the frame member carries one or more tapered pins engaging a hole or holes in the corner block, is arranged to support the transverse frame member from the longitudinal one by means of an L-shaped junction plate. As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, the longitudinal frame member 9 carries an L-shaped plate 11, secured by means of the tapered pins 12, and supporting the transverse frame member 10. Corresponding pairs of holes 6, 7 in the hollow corner block are adapted to receive the tapered pins, and the end and the flange 16 of the longitudinal frame member engage the face 8 and the side respectively of the corner block.
