Abstract
203,404. Cooper, J. W. June 9, 1922. Knock-down boxes; corner joints; lids.-The erected walls of a collapsable packing case of the kind described in Specification 181,175 are secured together by metal bars M, the ends of which are bent at right angles to each other and to the central portion m<3>, mounted on the and walls of the case and engaging clips P on the side walls. The extreme end of the portion m' engaging the clip may be further bent to enter a hole in the middle portion p of the clip P. The lid is secured to the collapsed walls by angle 13 pieces g<4> which are secured to one edge of one or both sides C' folded under the bottom A of the case, and which engage slots g<8> in the depending members g on the lid. The other end of the lid may be held by chains secured to L-shaped metal pieces mounted on the opposite edges of the side or sides C<1>, the chains passing through holes in the lid and having eye-pieces at the ends remote from the L-pieces to receive a locking rod which can be secured by padlock, seal, &c.
