208,943. Hubberstone, H. Feb. 8, 1923. Knock-down boxes; corner strengthening-pieces. -In a packing case of the type in which the walls are hinged to the bottom and are adapted to fold inwardly on one another, two opposite walls 4 are connected to shallow base pieces 5 by double joints of the hinge-butt type. The links 9 forming the joints are hinged about angle-iron cornerpieces 8, 10 secured to the walls and base pieces. The walls may be held in the erect position by pivoted catches 12 or by bolts &c. passed through holes in one pair of opposite walls and engaging tapped holes in the other two walls.
