Abstract

202,831. Marshall, W., and Downs, C. Aug. 12, 1922. Rolling - machines.- In machines for moulding meal &c. in which the material is compressed between two drums provided with moulds in their peripheries and rotating in contact in opposite directions, the drum surfaces are formed of two series of rings F, G, one series F having transverse V-shaped grooves f and the other G having bevelled inclined sides g. The rings are positioned alternately and are located on the drum periphery between a bevelled flange d formed on one side of the drum and a detachable bevelled ring E fixed by bolts H. The meal is fed through a hopper a<5>, and scrapers J are provided for nemoving adherent material.
