Abstract

Springs, arrangement of.-In a perambulator having the body spring-supported on the chassis, a lever pivoted on the chassis is rigidly connected to a wheel axle and moves relatively to the chassis against the action of a single spring. The lever comprises a spring 10 connected to the body at 11, pivoted to the spring frame 2, 3 at 7, and secured to the, axle 1 which moves relatively to the frame 2, 3 against the action of an adjustable compression spring 12 carried by a bolt 4. In another form, Fig. 3, the lever 19 is. rigid and is pivoted to a bracket 18 on the frame 16, the spring controlled bolt 12, 22 being mounted in a framebracket 20 to which the body supporting spring 21 is secured. The axle 1 may be arranged between the bracket 18 and the spring-controlled end cf the lever. The spring 10, Fig. 1, may be curved in plan, to obtain a side mounting for the body.
