Safety wheels.-In safety devices for motor cycles, of the type in which a supportirg-wheel is mounted on each side of the rear wheel in a fork-shaped swinging arm, two downwardly curved arms h, adapted to swing upwards about a pivot g, are acted upon by springs p, which hold the safety wheels n near the ground, and enable them, when in contact with the ground, to yield laterally, so that the rear wheel of the motorcycle remains in contact with the road, and overloading of the safety wheels is avoided. The pivot bolt g of each arm h is mounted in a socket f on one part b of a two-part, clip b, c bolted to the chain stays a. The wheel n is maintained at the required distance from the ground by an arm. w engaging a disc u of selected thickness removably mounted on an extension t of the clip part c. A stay y hooked to the arm h and to a clip on the frame member a prevents fore and aft movement. The tension of the spring p is adjusted by means of a screw hook r.
