Abstract

A brake pressure proportioning valve element 80, between an inlet 94 and outlet 98 is biased to the open position by inlet pressure transmitted to a space 128 to act on a differential piston 108. The pressure is transmitted through passage 148, valve 144 and passages 172, 188, and the valve 144 is closed by inertia weight 130 to prevent further increase in the biassing pressure when a certain deceleration is reached. The weight 130 is mounted with small clearance in cylinder 16 to provide viscous damping. <IMAGE>
