Abstract

The release pressure in a spring- actuated parking brake, connected at port 3, is controlled by varying the spring loading on the outlet valve 9 leading to a reservoir 6. The biassing spring 20 is supported by a piston 10 connected to a hand brake lever 7. Another spring 9 urges the piston 10 to the left, and also biasses an inlet valve 13, connected to a pressure source 4. <IMAGE>
