Abstract

202,296. Soc. Anon. des Ateliers de SÚcheron, (Assignees of Isler, J.). Aug. 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Two-part couplings for multiple-conductor cables. A series of resilient contact-fingers D is mounted upon an annular insulating-member C, and each is connected to one conductor of a cable F. A corresponding series of metal plates E is clamped with interposed insulating-strips between a conical flange H and a locking-ring I, and each plate is connected to one conductor of a cable G. The flange H is integral with a casing N, which telescopes within a casing L in which the resilient fingers are mounted. These fingers are of unequal length, or are staggered relatively to each other in a longitudinal direction, to facilitate the making of the connection by engaging the counterpart member in succession.
