Abstract

An apparatus for baking food products, e.g. bread, comprises an oven with a plurality of tiered shelves each adapted to receive at least one unit of the products to be baked said oven being associated with a trolley for placing the products in the oven, the trolley supporting a plurality of trays each supporting at least one unit of the products to be baked and wherein each tray penetrates into the oven above a corresponding shelf and has means for automatically placing food products into the oven constituted by an endless cloth belt mounted on rollers and each tier of the oven has means for blocking the belt and causing its rotation to effect the placing of the product carried on the belt onto the corresponding oven shelf as the trolley is withdrawn.
