Abstract

202,012. Butler, G. H. C., and Reeves, A. May 8, 1922. Vehicle lamps.-In an electric vehicle lamp of the type which is adjustable both horizontally and vertically when in use and in which the lamp body contains an extensible electric cable, the lamp together with the cable being readily detachable from its supporting-bracket for use as an extension lamp, the electric bulb socket is mounted axially within the lamp in a rotatable drum which accommodates the extensible electric cable, and the drum is connected to an extensible actuating-disc by means of which the cable may be re-wound on the drum. The flexible cable 17 passes through the lamp casing 1 and then round the drum, which is mounted behind the reflector 21 and contains the spring-controlled socket 19 of the lamp bulb 20. The drum is secured by means of an inner flange 28 and screws 29 to an external actuating- disc 30 by which the rotation of the drum may be controlled, and within which is fitted an observation mirror 34.
