Abstract

An emulation- and test-adapter (ETA) for the development and testing of user programmes comprises a micro-computer which, by means of the user programme stored in a store 2, controls the operation of a device 1, a store 3' for a test programme, a change-over switch in the micro- processor 3 of the micro-computer to switch over the latter from the user programme to the test programme, and a store 2 which serves to store the register contents of the micro- processor 3 at the instant of switch- over from the user programme to the test programme. The test programme store is formed as a fixed word store 3' integrated in the same chip as the processor 3. <IMAGE>
