Abstract

201,468. Winkler, A. Oct. 31, 1922. Ladders. - A non- slipping device for ladders comprises a socket member 5 adapted to receive the ladder foot and provided with a slot 7 in which slide clamping plates 9 to grip the ladder sides, and a pivoted non-slipping shoe 1 provided with projecting rubber discs 2. The angle of inclination of the shoe to the ladder foot is limited by the side of the recess 3 into which project the lugs 4 on the clamping portion 5. An upper supporting band 10 may be provided for the clamping plates.
