Abstract

A 'pop-up' plug assembly comprises a Bowden cable connected at one end to a pulley (45) from which a pipe (60), Fig. 3, extends tangentially, the inner cable (26) of the Bowden cable (25) being guided with minimal radial play in the circumferential pulley groove (47) and the adjoining pipe (60) until it enters the Bowden cable tube (23), and at the other end to a pivotable lever (14), Fig. 1, which is pivoted to a sliding member (19) and comprises on its underside a guide surface (32), which rests against the lower edge (35) of the orifice of a guide tube (18). The lever is partly pulled into the guide tube by the sliding member (19) while carrying out a pivotal movement in a vertical plane. <IMAGE>
