Abstract

The discharge and overflow fitting has an overflow housing (1), a telescopic overflow pipe (2) and a valve housing (3). A closure stopper (7) is arranged in the valve housing (3). The closure stopper (7) is opened and closed by means of a Bowden cable (23) which can be actuated via a turning rosette (28). The upper end of the core of the Bowden cable (23) is fastened on a rack (24) which is slidably mounted in or on the overflow housing (1). The rack (24) is in engagement with a pinion (26) which is fastened on a shaft (27) on which the turning rosette (28) is fixed. The pinion (26), via which the core of the Bowden cable (23) is adjusted in conjunction with the rack (24), is actuated via the turning rosette (28) and the shaft (27). The fitting permits changes in length by displacing the pipes (4, 5) without having to re-adjust the Bowden cable (23). <IMAGE>
