Abstract

Mixing of hot and cold fluid takes place internally of an annular temperature sensing element 61 which moves a valve sleeve 22 to control the degree of opening of the hot and cold fluid inlet ports 25 and 24, the sleeve being operative to direct flow from the hot and cold inlets towards each other for mixing purposes. The sleeve is preferably formed with scraper blade edges for cleaning the surface of the member on which it is slidable in the vicinity of the inlet ports. <IMAGE>
