Abstract

Plastics granulate or powder is dried by forced flow of heated air through the plastics material in a drying chamber (10). Water is removed from the air with one or more drying cartridges (15) containing an absorption medium. A pressure differential is maintained in the system such that the pressure of the air in the drying chamber (10) is lower than the pressure of the air in the drying cartridge or cartridges (15). <IMAGE>
