Abstract

A resilient engine mounting for a vehicle has metal components 1, 2 interconnected by at least one deformable component 3a formed of highly elastic elastomeric material to isolate the vibrations of one of the metal components from the other metal component(s) and at least one further deformable component 4a of a rubber-like composition having a high damping property for suppressing lower frequency vibrations, for example those arising due to road shocks experienced by the vehicle in motion. <IMAGE>
