Abstract

A coach has ventilation openings (6) which can be closed by means of pivotally mounted hinged covers (21). To enable uniform ventilation along the length of the coach the ventilation openings (6) are located above the windows (4) and below the roof structure (2) and the hinged covers are pivotally mounted at their lower edges adjacent the lower edges of the ventilation openings (6), so that in their closed position, the covers bridge the corner junction (1) between the roof structure and the respective lateral wall (3) and are in engagement with a seat (15) disposed at the ceiling wall. In their open positions, said covers are pivoted downwards to such an extent that a passage (D) of steadily decreasing cross-sectional area towards the vehicle interior is formed between the sealing wall (8) and said covers (21). <IMAGE>
