Abstract

A gas-using apparatus 10 attachable to an interchangeable cartridge 11 forming an expendable container for pressurised liquefied gas has a gas-intake head 2 which is capable of forming an annular seal against the top of the container and puncturing the container within that seal so that gas can be drawn off for use by the container. In order to prevent relative rotation between the apparatus and container and so improve the safety of such apparatus, at least three male elements 14 are provided on the apparatus or container and at least three cooperating female elements 15 are provided on the container or apparatus, respectively. These elements are distributed angularly and regularly around the geometrical axis of the apparatus 10 and container 11. <IMAGE>
