Lateral - splash preventers for the wheels of motor-vehicles, of the type comprising one or more air pumps driven from the engine, or from a separate motor, and adapted to deliver compressed air to nozzles or perforated pipes at the sides of the wheels, are provided with discharge nozzles or pipes m each connected by a flexible coupling m<1> to a hollow fitting o formed in one with, or attached to, the hub cap; a flexible air-supply tube l is connected to the fitting o at one side, and a guide bar q passes through a hole in the other side to steady the device.
