Abstract

198,756. Head, Wrightson, & Co., Ltd., Wrightson, Sir T. G., and Ringquist, J. M. March 6, 1922. Oscillating sieves; rotary sieves; sieves and screens, forms and construction of.-The screen is formed from a loop or series of loops F of flexible material, such as chain, mail, flexible netting wire or other material, suspended from a frame E which can be rocked or rotated. The bottom of the screen is preferably inclined either by graduating the length of the loops or by tilting the frame. In the construction illustrated in Fig. 2 the frame consists of two rods E connected at each bend by arms C and pivoted on gudgeons B carried by supports A. The frame is rocked by the arm D connecting rod G and crank disc I. In a modification, the rods E may be supported by bell-crank-levers which are connected together. In a further modification, the flexible material may be suspended from a trommel which is rocked or rotated.
